The Milwaukee Public Museum strives to provide internship programs that support the mission of the Museum and the goals of our interns through challenging and meaningful opportunities.
We are currently reimagining our internship program in hopes of creating better, more equitable opportunities for those interested in working in the museum field. We are not currently accepting interns. Please check this website for updates in summer 2022.
Most internship opportunities are geared towards college sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students. High school seniors and college freshmen, in certain instances, may be accepted. Students may also be accepted as interns within one year of graduation from a college or university.
MPM currently offers unpaid internships in a variety of departments. Most internships are available for 8-20 hours per week, depending on the needs of the MPM department and the credit requirements of the university (if applicable). Please click a link below to learn about specific requirements for each opportunity.
You are welcome to apply for internships in departments not listed here. However, please note that if an opportunity is not listed below, it is unlikely that there is a position available.
Please check back for opportunity updates soon.
