The Milwaukee Public Museum Restarts Kohl’s Thank You Thursday on March 18
Visit the Museum and gain free general admission for the first time in more than a year!
MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (March 8, 2021) — After a year where, like many cultural organizations in the world, the Milwaukee Public Museum’s (MPM) doors were closed more than opened due to COVID-19 and the City of Milwaukee’s Fall 2020 Health Order 4.2, the Museum is thrilled to be able to offer free onsite admission to visitors on Thursday, March 18 for Kohl’s Thank You Thursday. While the Museum was closed, support from Kohl’s helped provide virtual opportunities for teachers, students, families and lifelong learners.
Kohl’s has supported free admission to MPM for individuals and families on the first Thursday every month since June 2015.
Kohl's Thank You Thursday 2021 will look a little different than those of the past. Although admission to the Museum on this day will be free, time slots will need to be reserved up to one week in advance by visiting www.mpm.edu or calling 414-278-2728. Due to limited visitor capacity each hour, tickets cannot be guaranteed and are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Other COVID-19 procedures, such as, but not limited to, timed entry, social distancing, no food and beverage (besides bottled water) allowed or offered in the building, one-way paths through exhibits and mandatory masks, will also apply.
During March’s Kohl’s Thank You Thursday, we invite you to visit mpm.edu/curiosity before, during or after your visit for fun dinosaur programming and activities. For those of you unable to make the trip to the Museum, these resources will be offered online at www.mpm.edu/curiosity.
Kohl’s and Kohl’s Cares have committed more than $2 million to the Milwaukee Public Museum since 2009. Their support is made possible through Kohl’s philanthropic merchandise program, Kohl’s Cares®, which sells children’s books and toys and donates 100 percent of the net profit to charitable organizations nationwide that improve the health and wellness of families.
