Ancestral Women Exhibit

weaving of womanIn the   Ancestral Women   exhibit, award-winning jacquard weaver Mary Burns honors women’s journeys by creating their portraits in jacquard weavings.

The   Ancestral Women   project features elders from Wisconsin's 12 tribes, and was conceived to portray the strength of ancestral women around the world, both elders and their contemporaries, and to honor their journeys.

Limited Engagement: October 6, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Frog Feedings: Stop by to watch the frogs get fed by a professional keeper and learn something new! Feedings occur daily at 11:00 a.m. for about 15 minutes.

Monday - Amazon Milk Frogs and/or Mexican Dumpy Frogs 
Tuesday -  African Bullfrog and/or Ornate Horned Frogs
Wednesday -  Giant Monkey Frogs and/or Amazon Milk Frogs 
Thursday -  Poison Dart Frogs
Friday  - Amazon Milk Frogs and/or Mexican Dumpy Frogs 
Saturday -  African Bullfrog and/or American Bullfrog
Sunday - Poison Dart Frogs

This Martin Luther King Day, our Educators will be out on the floors with special activities for our visitors!

watson familySully and Susanna Watson took their family from the oppressive conditions of ante-bellum Virginia in 1834 and, after several years in Ohio, arrived in Milwaukee in 1850.

$5 per person

Guests who take the MPM Exposed Tour must be 18+. Tour capacity is 16 people.  
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Tours fill up quickly!
